Position title:
Product Management Fellowship, Data Solutions (Full-time)
Position description:
The University Data Office at Yale University—led by the new Chief Data Officer—is embarking on a multi-year effort to transform how data is used across the university as a strategic asset.
Yale has a wealth of data from its teaching, research, and operations, but the university’s ability to use this data in decision making is limited by a decentralized data environment in which cross-domain analyses are usually ad hoc instead of routine. The University Data Office is working to develop a cohesive data strategy and federated governance model that will enable integrated insights for deans and other key stakeholders at the university.
As an early hire in the University Data Office, the Product Management Fellow will have the opportunity to shape the future of data-driven insights at one of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions.
Role Description:
We are hiring a full-time, two‑year Product Management Fellow focused on Data Solutions. Applicants must graduate from Yale by summer 2026. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $95,000, depending on qualifications.
In this role, the successful candidate will apply product management and data analysis skills to design, prototype, and support analytics solutions for university leaders. This work includes understanding user needs, iterating on prototypes, coordinating with ITS on scalable builds, and supporting adoption after release.
