Objectives

Mission Enablement	Institution	Support high-priority projects or requests related to the mission of Yale; may require complex data from multiple domains or require discussion and approval.
Data Informed Decision Making	People	Data are of good quality, timely, accessible, and of known data lineage to result in the ability to make data informed decisions.
Security, Compliance, Privacy	Policy	Data governed by specific compliance or regulatory rules, including PII, HIPAA, FERPA, GDPR, ADA, etc. may require special/additional consideration to ensure privacy and data security.
Process Efficiency	Process	Data that is available, timely, usable, or delivery model to be useful to create more efficient processes.
Reduce Risk	Risk	Requests for data needed in support of any of the above that could be considered high risk and require additional review and approval.
Communication Training	Transparency	All Yale staff understand data is an asset that needs to be protected through transparency of process and policy to promote proper usage.
